Any Struggling Artist Would Be Let Down By a few BAD REVIES From People Reguarding Their Artwork....I Am No Exception.
However, I recently Learned Something That ALL ARTISTS Should Know...
Everyone Knows Who Stan "The Man" Lee Is....He's The Godfather Of Comics.
The Guy That Created Spider-Man, The X-Men, The Hulk, Fantastic Four And Pretty Much Every Known Title In Marvel Comics, Whose Work Has Heavily Inspired Hollywood To Make "Good Superhero Movies"
And, Jack Kirby Was Stan's Partner.
Who Not Only Co-Created The Fantastic Four, But Also Created The Gods Of New Genesis And Darkseid And his Dark World Of Apokalips For DC Comics (And Became Important characters In The Superman Series)
Anyway, Stan Lee Was Th Writer And Jack Kirby Was The Artist....
And, together....They Helped Created Most Of Those Comics That We Enjoy.
But, They Weren't ALWAYS On Top....
When Stan Lee Started Out, Most People Found His Stories To be "Far-Fetched" And a Bit Crazy.
When Stan Tried To Pitch His Idea For SPIDER-MAN (One Of The Most famouse Superheroes Of All Time) His Publisher Said "Nobody Will Want To Read a Book About a Teenager With Spider Powers, PEOPLE HATE SPIDERS!!!"
But, Stan Lee Ran The Book Anyway.
Jack Kirby Is a Great Artist, But At First....Many People Thought He Was a Terrible Artist!!
And, THIS Is The Guy Who had An Art Museum Built In His Memory When He Died (The Jack Kirby Museum)
Heck, Even WALT DISNEY (When he Was Young) Was Denied Employment From a Newspaper Company, Simply Because The Publishers Said He "Couldn`t Draw!!"
What can You tak Frome This??
Simple...Just Because Soebody Says Your Work Is No Good, It Doesn't Man It's True.
Critics Were very NEGATIVE To Stan Lee And Jack Kirby.....Yet, They Created Things People Still Love And Go Crazy Over.
They Weren't Always "Great", But They Got Better And Proved Their Ideas Were Good.
And, All Thoe "Nay-Sayers" Are No Doubt "Eating Their Words With Ketchup And Salt" Today.
So, When Someone Tried To Say your Work Is Bad.....Don't Let It Bring You Down.
Had Stan Lee And Jack Kirby Gave In To All that, then We Would Be Living In a World WITHOUT All Those Superheroes We All Know And Love.
I'm Not Trying to Compare Myself To them As They Are.....But Rather As They Were Starting Out.
My Writing And Art May Not Be PERFECT....But, It Is Certainly Not TERRIBLE.
Perhaps SOMEDAY, I Will Achieve The Same Success That THEY DID.
And, To Those Of You That Think My Work is bad....Choose Your Words CARFULLY, Cuz' You May Be Eating Your Words In The Future.
And, To Those Of you that Have Supported Me....I Hope Your There When I Get Famous.
Basicly, It's Like This: Do What your Love, Accept Support And Ignore All The Negative Critisism....
And, Don't Live Your Entire Life Trying To Please People Who Don't Understand....Just Be Yourself.
Those Are Lessons I learned From "The Masters"....And, If Your An Artist, They Are Lessons You Should Learns As Well.

Amphibia Artbook is Finally Coming!
It sure is a good day to STILL be a fan of Amphibia, as the success of Marcy's Journal has led us to this grand moment in which "The Art of Amphibia" is going to be released later this year. I for one, can't want for this book to come out. As it'll not only be helpful in my own drawings, But I look forward to seeing all the scrapped content as well. You know, all the Beta Designs, unused characters/locations and anything else that hasn't been revealed until now. I also hope this will EVENTUALLY lead to The Owl House getting it's own artbook (because LORD, we all know there is enough scrapped content of Amphibia's sister show to fill a whole book!) But, for the moment: THIS is on my wishlist. -MetroXLR
NEW Hazbin Hotel Fanfic, But Sta.sh Writer is DEAD
So, a few days ago I finally got the first part of a Non-Canon, Hazbin Hotell Miniseries finished and was about to start editing it for posting... ...Only to find that DeviantART had an "update." Now, I am aware that ever since DevArt "upgrade" to Eclipse, the Sta.sh Storage function has never quite been the same (as they disabled submitting literature to be edited in Sta.sh Writer) BUT, a close friend of mine explained to me a work around to this, meaning I was able to still use Sta.sh Writer...to an extent. (which I did so using Google Doc's, which somehow bypassed Sta.sh. WELL...Now DeviantART finally gave Stash it's own Eclipse Update, which as completely eliminated Sta.sh Writer altogether. It is now impossible to edit fiction in my own time, as it's "edit" feature just takes you to the Deviation Submission Screen. SO, in order to edit my latest Hazbin Hotel Fanfiction that is MUCH longer than my usual entries (over 30KB in file size) I have to use Google Doc entirely
Revisiting Epic Mickey 2 (and the PS3)
With the hype of the "Rebrushed" remake/remaster of the original Epic Mickey game trending on the Net, I decided to revisit the series by replaying it's sequel. At first, I tried to play it on Steam, but even with my Windows 11 Laptop Computer, the game ran at a literal snails pace, making it unplayable. Fortunately, I held onto the PS3 Disc of the game. And, having since replaced my STOLEN PS3 Console with a refurbished, "slim" model, I was able to replay Epic Mickey 2 proper. (Ironically, I heard that the PS3 got a recent firmware update, despite how old the console is.) So, anyways... Epic Mickey 2 is still a fun game to play (and was all I had when the prior game was a Wii Exclusive.) I also share everyone's hope that the sequel will get the same "rebrushed" treatment is the original game (as well as finally seeing Epic Mickey 3 being made once Warren Spector has the free time to do so.) Epic Mickey was a great series, and deserves to make a comeback and not be ...well
Epic Mickey Returns!
Okay, most know that on January of this year, Mickey Mouse entered the Public Domain (or, at least the Steamboat Willy version did.) And, amidst a slew of Indie Horror games where Mickey Mouse is reimagined as a demonic monster to join the likes of Slenderman, Siren Head, and [Insert Name].EXE... We also recently go THIS. And announcement that Epic Mickey, a game originally released in 2010 on the Nintendo Wii, Is joining Crash Bandicoot, Spyro the Dragon, MediEvil and Destroy All Humans as yet another classic/old game being remade/remastered for current gen consoles. While first announced for the Nintendo Switch, It is also being re-released on the PS4/PS5 (Relevant, since it's sequel was released on the PS3.) I for one am glad to see the OG game coming to PlayStation. As I only bought my Wii JUST to play this game (which I have since lost in my constant moving, and literally haven't touched it in over a Decade.) So far, I like what I see from the updated Trailer (the
