Lemmie start by saying that this Motivational piece is in NO MEANS a slam on Teen Titans, nor the 1960s Batman TV Series..

I'm just using them as reference to state a fact on the Arkham City Robin.

The point of this is that the Robin on Teen Titans is already pretty much Awesome.

his dedication (or, sometimes "obsession") with justice is nearly on par with Batman.
and, after watching a few episodes of TT, one can hardly describe him as a mear 'sidekick'

BUT, as awesome as THAT Robin is..he can't hold a candle to the Arkhamverse Robin.

now, THAT Robin is more than just awesome..He's totally Bada**.

Sidekick is hardly the word to describe this guy (Batman's Apprentice would be a better title for him.)
It's also difficult to find anything "circus-y" about him. his suit is more Commando, than Acrobat.

but, mostly it's the hood..that big SCARY hood (probably took a cue from Green Arrow.)
oh, yeah. we FINALLY have a Robin who can be just as intimidating as Batman.

So, sorry Teen Titans Robin..but, compared to the Robin in Arkham City.
you are just about as threatening as the 1960s Robin, and his endless supply of "HOLY-something-something, BATMAN!!" catchphrases.

....... Teen Titans Robin won a tournament between superpowered individuals, survived the apocalypse, went LITERALLY through HELL ON EARTH, faced a mastermind that makes the Joker look like a pansy, led an army of superheroes against an army of supervillains and is not only a good leader, but a good friend to all his teammates.

This is just another generic brooding shithead. That gets his ass kidnapped and then locked up in Knight.

Teen Titans Robin is a more complete character and a much better fighter with greater feats. So this guy has an eternally bland expression on his face and a hood. Big whoop. I'm supposed to be intimidated? I would if I wasn't already inspired by a guy that faced down SATAN.

So, no. Take that edgy turd of a character and use it as much as you want to cover up your own insecurities about your "manhood". Because the real man is the one that fights rock monsters without hesitation and wins, not the angsty pissant who beats random mooks anyone could have taken care of. You're too easily impressed.
