Like she said, THIS artwork is an illustration of an event
that will take place in a later act of my story "My Little Pony: Return to Ponyland"

which is a 'Midquel' to "Beyond Life and Death", where Alex Cosmos (plus Alex Jr.), Dracon and Chrysalis
get sidetracked in their journey to Canterlot by some random Time Travel nonsense.

the story sees them being transported 10,000 Years into the past.
during a time when "Equestia", and even Canterlot doesn't exist yet,
and the capital kingdom of THIS era is "Ponyland", and is ruled by Queen Faust (Fausticorn)

The image you see takes place at a later point in the story,
where Faust dies in battle against the dark ram Grogar
(who was attempting to Invade Ponyland, and even herald Tirek's arrival.)

While Alex and company go forth to combat Grogar in faust's place,
Princess Tia (Celestia, when she was a Filly) found her deceased mother.

and, JUST LIKE Simba in 'The Lion King', is in denial that her mother is dead, and tries in vain to get her to wake up.

On THIS tragic day, Celestia learned something truely shocking: Alicorns (despite popular belief) Are NOT Immortal.
